After the basecoat the models were painted with army painter systems quickshade. The darkest tone was used on these, which is black rather than brown. However the results still look good. Although it was tempting to “dunk” the models, I thought it’d be more economical to just paint the stuff on.
These were left to dry for a day in a warm cupboard, even when the quickshade dries it is still very shiny and looks wet to the touch despite having dried rock solid. It also looks like I will have to repaint the bases where the quickshade got on, but I figured I can do that when I paint on the bow-wake.
